      Hi Paddy! Great to hear you like science so much!

      Tongues are incredibly important for both manipulating and tasting the food we eat. Manipulating our food is important to make sure we can chew it and avoid choking!

      If we didn’t taste food before we swallowed it, we might not notice that it was rotten, and might end up eating something that could make us very ill!

      It’s also very important in how we have adapted to talk! 🙂 Good question!
