Question: Is your job frustrating sometimes because the cells are so small?

It can be when you are trying to explain to other people what you do – and they can’t easily see the cells without a microscope

But because they are small, they don’t take up much space. So we can store lots of them, we can repeat things more easily and we use smaller flasks and volumes of media to grown them in.

Also we can take lots of pretty pictures of them because they are small.
