• Question: I thought they did partical physics at CERN how were you involved with poo

      The do indeed do particle physics at CERN but alas I had a life before poo. When I was at CERN I was working out how likely it was that a fire would start in one of the gigantic underground experiments (ALICE). I answered questions like, how bad would the fire be? are the escape routes in the right place? would this damage the environment surrounding the experiment etc etc.

      The path to our dreams can sometimes be a complex and winding one 🙂 I found my calling to he world of water whilst at CERN and the year following 🙂 It is a wonderful place though – if you get a chance to visit DO!
