Um, I don’t support football. I went to my first premiership match a few weeks ago in Newcastle. It was Newcastle vs Wolves, and although I’m from the midlands I was supporting Newcastle because I was there with a Newcastle supporter. It was quite good really. The score was 2-2. I ate a magpie.
I guess if I supported a football team it would be Newcastle as that’s who I supported when I was younger. My Dad and my brother are huge PNE (Preston North End) fans.
I don’t follow football at all usually. I usually have to ask which team is which colour, and who’s going which direction. I did follow the last world cup a bit though. We set up a computer and projector in our office, and brought in cake and snacks, so it was a lot of fun. I was writing my thesis at the time (a book of my research that I had to do to get my PhD) so it was a good distraction.
I love watching a good football game. I kind of support Man Utd, but I’m not a true supporter because I’ve never been to see them play live.
Marcus said that football teams are hereditary but my dad supports Watford and they’re terrible, so I don’t support them. I was born in Kendal, Cumbria and there are only small teams local to that area so I chose man utd.
