Question: It seems that there are many theories to explain 'High-Temperature Superconductivity'. Which one would you prefer and why? Or is there a recently established theory to explain its mechanism?

  I don’t think that anyone says that they prefer a particular theory, but that the experimental evidence supports a particular theory better. At the moment, only 2 families of high Tc superconductors have been discovered, so this really limits how much a general theory can be tested. At the moment we can just continue studying the properties of the superconductors that have been discovered and carry on the hunt for new and better examples.
