Also, I am an international student, so if you want to know anything about China or what to know how life feels like as an international student aboard, ask me!

My PhD explored how places connect people with their history and how they give people a sense of identity and continuity over time.  I worked at Nottingham Trent University for many years after I qualified but I have recently joined Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.  I teach community, health, and applied social psychology and research methods, and I also supervise student research projects for undergraduates and postgraduates.
