Question: We study so many different subjects at school it seems odd to think of concentrating on only one. How varied is your working day?

I like this question. I do think it is important that people are encouraged to choose a career path that they are passionate about and/or interested in. I think this helps me stay wanting to study, research and share knowledge in this area.
I don’t think I would have chosen to study education if I had to choose a career when leaving school, so I also think it helps to keep an open mind that preferences can change, and that’s okay!
I try to make my days varied across the week so I don’t get too bored with one activity, so one day I will listen to transcripts (audios of interviews), another day I will book some meetings so that would be a talking a lot day. It is nice to have the choice and independence to do this though 🙂

Hi Dexter, in fact, we use quite a lot of different subjects on our daily basis actually. One minute it could be some basic biology, after a bit of maths to calculate something, some other time, some computer work or others some physics!
It’s all science of course, but the more you get in depth within a topic the more you become an expert and sometimes, even the only person in the world capable of doing certain techniques! It’s really quite gratifying.
