Probably not. I really enjoy what I do. There a few things I wish were different like job security but it’s definitely the overall job I’d like to be in the most.

I still could, if I really wanted to. That would probably require further education and potentially finances, but it is not impossible. So it does not seem like I would want to ๐

I really love my job so I wouldnโt at the moment! That doesnโt mean that I will not change it in the future. Life is full of surprises and you never know what will happen a few years down the line ๐

I have changed my job lots of times in the past but I didn’t regret it because I learned different skill sets. I’m open to changing jobs again in the future!

I would change some aspects of my job to allow more time for research, but I like the job I do so wouldn’t want to do a different job.

Maggi Laurie answered on 13 Nov 2020:
I’ve been through a few job changes in past year – from being a PhD student, working in parliament, and working on different research projects. I will soon change my job again, to work for a company doing research. So yes, I definitely would change my job – not just out of necessity due to short term contracts, but also to learn new skills and gather different experiences.

Simon Payne answered on 13 Nov 2020:
Sometimes I wish for a 9-5 that doesn’t require much brainpower, but that’s only when I’m having a bad day or getting to grips with an especially tough task! The rest of the time I love my job and am happy I made the choices I did that have led me here. But I’m certainly not averse to change, so if I need to for whatever reason I won’t shy away from it. I wonder, what is your dream job? I hope you have guidance available to help set you on the right path to achieve it.

Nicol Bergou answered on 13 Nov 2020:
No! I absolutely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything different at the moment. That said, changing fields during someone’s career is becoming increasingly common so I feel like if I ever decide to change jobs, I can. I know quite a few people who have done that half-way through their careers.
Studying Psychology and in my case doing a PhD teaches you a lot of things you can use in other jobs as well.

I think I would like more hours in a week so that I could do other jobs too! I’d quite like to be a Detective in the police force or an engineer as I like problem solving and statistics/maths; both of course I also get to do as a psychologist ๐ Working in psychology is very rewarding ๐

To be honest no I wouldn’t, I knew I wanted to be a Clinical Psychologist for a really long time so I can’t imagine ever doing anything else! I think psychology opens so many doors, there’s so many different places you could end up working and I guess I’m biased but I think it’s a brilliant career!

I think throughout your life, you can change your job whenever you like. I don’t want to change my job at the moment. I do love doing art and creative things – but I can do them as hobbies!
I don’t believe that you have to choose one thing or the other – you can do lots of things, or change your mind!
