I’m not sure choosing a favourite would be a good idea (or easy) as these approaches all have different and valuable contributions to the field, but I guess I use the cognitive approach the most in my research 🙂

I take a developmental approach to understanding human psychology because it focuses on change across the lifespan to explain human thinking and behaviour. We undergo the most change during childhood, but other stages of life are also important and are often overlooked in developmental approaches!

I’m a fan of social cognition – basically, how social situations (which links to social psychology) can influence cognitive processes like judgements and decisions (which links to cognitive psychology). As I’m interested in how we behave and make decisions online, it’s really important to consider the context and how this may influence cognition.
