• Question: Are there similarities between the functions of a gorilla's and a human's brain?

      Yes, there are similarities because we are both apes and we share a common ancestor. Our brains have similar structures, as they are both split into two hemispheres with lots of different sections. And there are behavioural similarities, for example, even though gorillas don’t speak, they are able to solve puzzles using problem-solving skills in a similar way to humans.

      There are similarities across species’ but of course, there are also marked differences in brain function that separates us apart.
