Wow what a great question! I really think its a big combination of both. For example, epigenetics is very interesting. The environment that we are raised in can affect how the genes are expressed. This bridges the gap between both nature and nurture because we need both the genetics in the first place, and the environment for that specific behaviour to become apparent!

I think nature places some constraints on what we can do (extreme example: I can’t fly) but nurture does a lot to shape what we do do.

I’m going to continue sitting on the fence by saying that I think it’s a mixture of both. I think there are so many important aspects of our lives and behaviour that come from both nature and nurture, that it can feel impossible to say which is the ‘most’ important.

Nurture, definitely. Good nurturing can alleviate issues of nature but no amount of nature can alleviate bad nurturing. Nature is important and our society today has a big influence on it, but nurture, being more personal, can I think have a bigger influence on behaviour.
