I’m currently very lucky to get paid to do my PhD, which means I pay no university fees, and I get about £17,500 a year to live off of! I’ve also been doing some work invigilating exams on the side, which is a bonus!

I think this can be an important question which we sometimes dance around instead of just being open about it! I’m a lecturer in psychology in the earlier stages of my career and I’m on around £37,000 at the moment 😊

I love this question, I think we need to be more open about money in general. So I am an Assistant Editor in the early stages of this kind of career, and I’m on around £33k.
