Question: what would you want to change to improve the lives of girls and women

So many things! I think it is important that we change laws that disempower women. For example, those that don’t allow women to own property, get a divorce, or make decisions about their reproductive health.

We also need to change harmful traditions, like dowries and female genital cutting, that take away girls rights to make their own decisions about their lives and bodies.

We need to change peoples attitudes about men/women and gender more generally. Women are often seen as less strong, intelligent, capable, etc. then men. And this isn’t true. Men and women should be valued equally.

And lastly we need to change how people behave towards women and girls. For example, if people respect them, then they wont cause harm or violence, and will allow them to have more freedom and choices in their jobs, relationships, families, etc.
