Thanks for this question! Tricky (for me anyway!) as I think once I achieve a big milestone, there is always some bigger and more difficult waiting for me, so I always feel like the goal posts move so to speak – I need to get better at reflecting on successes in the moment! However, if I had to pick I think the first moment I felt successful was when I won my first ever (independent) small research grant in my PhD – which allowed me to visit a trauma research lab in Australia for 2 months. I remember feeling so proud of myself for getting the funding (after being rejected once already) and just so excited to do it! Then of course other key moments such as passing my PhD and winning further grants in my job now. But the earlier one always stays with me 🙂
Tough!! I felt successful when I finished my undergrad, and also my master’s. I think the biggest success was being awarded funding for my PhD though! It meant I didn’t need to worry about the cost of living, because I am being paid to do something I love!

When I was interviewed by BBC to talk about my website and when I read my name on The Telegraph. Those were magical moments for me.
