Ohh, it is tough to narrow down what was most enjoyable! So, I never did psychology at school or 6th form college, so my first ‘proper’ experience was at university! There were lots of great modules (and these will differ depending on which university you go to!) but the first module where I really fell in love with psychology was my second year module in Health Psychology. I’m not sure what it was but something really clicked with me for that module. This really kicked off my passion for psychology! What my favourite thing (for my undergraduate degree anyway), was conducting my own piece of research, and I don’t mean a report that you have to do using the same data as everyone else because you’re learning what to do, I mean a piece of research that I thought of, and designed studies around. My first experience of this was my third year of undergrad where I continued my love of health psychology (relationships & health). For my master’s degree, again, conducting my own piece of research was my favourite bit, I came up with the idea (which I have continued with for my PhD) and designed the study! The research aspect is my favourite!
