Hi Joe! Wow I have a lot of favourite books and I don’t know which I would recommend. I think I am always a big fan of Harry Potter (I even read some of the books in Portuguese when I was learning the language). I also really like a book called Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harrari, he explores the human race right from the beginning, how the world was created and how society as we now know it was developed. And it was really interesting learning about our past as a race, there was so much stuff that I didn’t know! For example, did you know that grass was once considered a luxury and only rich people could afford and it was a way of showing wealth!
Hi JoeL. I just want to share a few psychology books that I found informative and inspiring – I love them but they’re not for everyone. Read as many psychology books as you can.
• ‘The Psychology Book’ – Big Ideas Simply Explained (multiple authors, thick red book which you can buy online). I love this book because it outlines many psychological concepts I learned at uni. (http://bit.do/fPtAJ)
• ‘12 Rules for Life’ by Dr Jordan Peterson. I enjoyed reading this book because Dr Peterson has a gift for explaining things. Maybe that’s why he has more than 3 million subscribers on YouTube.
• ‘Chanel – Biography of Coco Chanel’ by Lisa Chaney (not necessarily psychology but I enjoyed reading this because the author has such an elegant writing style and I also like Coco Chanel).
