• Question: Is there any area of neuroscience you have looked at that that today would be considered to lack objectivity or falsifiability?

Neuroscience is a relatively new subject so there are definitely lots of areas that are being redefined by new research. One quick example I can give you is the idea that the amygdala (the brain area involved in controlling emotions) was originally thought to be just involved in fearful memories. So it was thought that adding a fearful context to a memory task would increase the likelihood in it being learned. However, this is not the case the the amygdala regulates all emotions, and positive emotional stimulation (like reward) produces learning.
