Hi JacquesH,
Thank you for your question!
I actually spent almost all of my time studying for A-levels, free time didn’t really exist! I would listen to podcasts related to my studies while I got ready. I would read psychology books on the bus to school and even ate lunch in the library to study!
But it really burnt me out study wise. After A-levels finished I was very stressed, and this carried on to my first year at university. So a) I had set myself up to an unrealistic goal of studying all day every day and b) I didn’t have the mental ability to do that even if I wanted to! It really effected my mental health and looking back I wish I had studied a lot less during A-levels and enjoyed things outside of the context of studying.
So to answer your question I had no free time but I really deeply regret it and hope some of you can learn from my mistake!

Not enough! I’d like to say I was always revising but I have to be honest… I didn’t do as well as I had hoped to do, and regretted not doing a bit more work and being prepared, but I learned my lesson and applied myself more to my work when I went to university.
There is a balance, you need to work hard enough to achieve what you are capable of, but remember to have time for yourself to do things you enjoy and spend time with friends/family however you can.
