Hi GabbyG,
That’s a tough one! You can split it into how I should manage my time, and often quite contrastingly, how I do actually manage my time.
I really try to have one day off a week where I turn off work emails, refuse to read another journal paper or look at statistics at all and instead do things to unwind like getting fresh air or painting (skateboards!).
I think it has also been a long journey and one of self-discovery in terms of time management. I went from A-levels spending every waking minute studying to university where I tried to replicate this but just burnt-out and ended up really suffering negative consequences on my mental health. Which, in turn, actually made me really bad at being productive as I just didn’t have the mental energy!
I also learnt along the way that studying isn’t just about how much (quantity) but also what sort of studying (quality) we do.

I make a list of things that I need to do; I use Google Keep for this. I also have a rather colourful calendar (Google Calendar). These strategies help me structure my week. But there are days when I feel like not doing anything or just want to watch endless videos of cute dogs and cats on YouTube – I give in. Life isn’t all about work.
