• Question: Have you ever studied eating behaviours surrounding fussy eaters? If not, would it be something you would like to explore in the future? And what is it about eating behaviours that interests you so much?

It’s interesting you asked that because I have never looked at it before, but I am currently planning a study which does involve measuring how fussy people are about food! We are waiting for ethical approval for it to get started. I am interested in sustainable eating, and so we are interested in understanding whether people in the UK would be willing to eat insects, as it is an environmentally friendly form of protein that is eaten around the world – I imagine fussy eaters will be less keen on this idea, and so we are measuring it to see! I have a lot of colleagues who have looked at fussy eating in children and how to overcome it, so they are advising me on how best to measure this and understand it.
