      Hi,
      I think it does, yes!
There is a bit of a debate if improvement is U shaped, so younger children and older adults have better outcomes from a variety of mental health issues, from anxiety to schizophrenia, due to resilience associated with their age. Or if is linear, where resilience improves over age in helping recovery and outcomes of negative mental health issues. How and why people improve is very individual and can be effect by psychological and biological factors, and we still don’t fully understand these.
It also a bit of a paradox where whilst mental health functioning improves, physical health and cognitive functions decline as we age, which again, is little understood!
