In terms of science writing, I like Richard Dawkins. Especially his earlier bit, he can be a bit heavy going though.

In terms of general reading I’m a big murder mystery fan and I really like the classics (Agatha Christie etc)

For me is has to be J. K. Rowling and Terry Pratchett! The worlds they create are incredible and I really like them as people as well.

I really like The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency books by Alexander McCall Smith.

As for science books, anything by Stephen Jay Gould is always worth looking at. I’m NOT a fan of Richard Dawkins!

I love to read, I’m a complete bookworm and my favourite author is usually whoever’s book I am reading at the moment!

Right now, I am really fascinated by historical literature. I’ve recently finished reading Pillars of the Earth and World Without End by Ken Follett. These books combine a few of my loves – history, architecture and engineering. Reading accurate depictions of how cathedrals were built in the 12th century is really fascinating to a geek like me. Plus, there are battles to overthrow the King so it’s pretty exciting reading too (even though they are 1000 pages long!)

I am particularly fond of this really simple yet profound book, called The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
