  The researchers basically used DNA to store Martin Luther-King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech.

  As Kevin says, yes we can! You can store almost any type of information on DNA. My favourite was when they stored all of Shakespeare’s sonnets (a type of poem)on DNA. I think the Guardian article on it was quite good if you would like to have a read:

  If you read the article then you’ll see that the scientists who did it actually came up with the idea in the pub and wrote their first ideas of how to do it on napkins!
