My role model is my PhD supervisor, Paul Frick at University of New Orleans. He is the greatest and we still have a great relationship.

My role models would have to include my Dad, who shaped the way that I think and approach problems; and my post-doctoral research supervisor, Ed Stolper who has an astonishing capacity to identify and solve important problems. Ed also taught me the lesson that while some things need to be done correctly (science), other things just need to be done on time (paperwork).

There is an astronomer at Harvard University called Lisa Kaltenegger. She has been a role model for me for nearly all my life, because we grew up in the same town and she’s a couple of years older than I am. People kept telling me about her, I felt like constantly being in her footsteps. I’ve never met her, unfortunately, but maybe some day I will.
