Why are foxes hunted? I don’t really understand hunting for fun. I used to live in Pennsylvania which has a lot of rural parts. I know people who would kill a deer and then feed their whole family on it for about 6 months; I think that is better. It meant that their family gave no money to the meat industry, which sometimes treats its animals badly. I know that in the US, some states have had to allow hunting because there are no other natural predators that will weed down the herd of animals; that’s simply because humans have killed off a lot of the meat-eaters to make room for societies.
I think that it is cruel and shouldn’t be practiced. If the numbers of foxes are increasing too much then they should be controlled in a more appropriate way.
