None! Mosquitos have been very successful, in evolutionary terms (they exist, and they have been here since the Jurassic), and they fill a particular niche. Unfortunately for humans, we are a good food source..

Very good question – they annoy me a lot!
They are part of the food chain though, many birds, fish, bats etc use them as a source of food

Nothing in nature has “a point”. Mosquitoes just fill an ecological niche (sucking the blood of bigger animals). It works for them because they don’t kill us, so there is never a shortage of supply.

In terms of evolution? I see the point of any creature as its ability to survive. Well, I guess the point is that they survive in our world, because warm blooded animals exist. Also, some viruses rely on mosquitos to ‘survive’ or to multiply.
