• Question: What can you tell about cats body language?

      Not a lot i’m afraid – they generally look pretty lazy to me! You can normally tell when they are hungry though!

      I have never had a cat, so my knowledge of cat body language is very, very limited. The only thing I think I knew was that cats have a way of landing on their legs so they could jump from high structures without hurting themselves. But then my brother’s cat broke a leg while trying that, so I’m not so sure anymore …

      Each animal, particularly social animals, has a way of alerting others of it’s kind what it wants or doesn’t want. As long as you know what the body language means, you can tell what the animal wants. I personally don’t know a lot about cats and their body language, but I know when the cat arches its back and hisses that I should move away.
