Cocaine is a powerful stimulant. It increases your heart rate and blood pressure, and makes you feel warm. It can also make you restless, paranoid, and anxious. If severe, you could have a heart attack.
It activates the reward centres of the brain (which chocolate also activates but to a lesser extent) – resulting in a ‘high.’ If you use it a lot, then the reward centres won’t respond as they once did, which means that the user develops a tolerance to the drug. Basically, your brain decides that since it’s getting reward through a drug, then it will stop being so sensitive to other things that also give you happiness.
Depending on how you use it, it can cause nosebleeds and disease of your internal organs.
