That’s a very existential question. However, I do think what we experience here and now is real. It makes me feel so privileged to be able to experience this reality for the short time I’m here, alive. Because I don’t believe in an afterlife, I try to make the best of my time here and I try to make the world easier for other people to live in as well.

Let’s assume that the human race is real and that the alternative, that we are living in a simulation, is only a very remote possibility. The human body as a physical entity has only a finite lifetime. So there cannot be an afterlife for the physical body, but only for the spiritual elements – the soul. So what happens in the afterlife must mainly be a function of your religious/spiritual or philosophical belief system.

I thinkt the human race *is* real, but I don’t think there’s an afterlife. If there is, I hope there will be tea and biscuits.
