Hi, My training was all in US, since I’m American. I loved the course I had, which included a lot of research. I wanted to be a clinical psychologist, but then I changed my course. I had started at a university that gives you a lot of practical experience, but then I went to a university that is known for doing top research. When I got there, I just fell in love with research.

So, for you, you would want a university that is top in psychology training. You can find out the rankings online. You would also need a lot of practical experience to get into a postgraduate programme in clinical psychology. I volunteered at a crisis intervention hotline for 4 years, I worked as a junior counsellor in a group home for troubled girls, and I worked in a home for children with autism. To become a clinical psychologist, you’ll need to do your postgrad work at a university that specializes in clinical work.
