      Depending on your illness you might not use these medicines. I worked on Benlysta for systemic lupus erythematosus, and darapladib a cardiovascular medication. I didn’t do all the work on these tow – there are thousands of scientist in my company that develops medicines. These may not even be available in Europe yet (USA normally accepts our medicines first). It doesn’t sound like many, but it takes on average 10 years to develop a drug from test tube to being widely prescribed by doctors and many potential medicines don’t make it all the way to the end (coz they don’t work or they are not safe enough).
