I work with polymers that contain a specific group called pyrrolidone. Pyrrolidone containing polymers are useful because they mix with lots of different solvents like water and hexane which is quite unusual. This makes them suitable for many different applications such as ink in printers, contact lenses, shampoo, medicines like tablets and even glue.
