      I reckon it’d be when we get to making materials and devices that interface really easily with our bodies, and get to the point where we can do most of the things nature can do easily – biomineralization (i.e shells, teeth, bones – they’re mainly calcium carbonate/phosphate, so not that complex chemically wise!), formation of exoskeletons, wings.

      I’d recommend looking up soft robots too, that’s something else that’ll be quite interesting.
