I myself am not religious but I do know many people who are scientists from all different religions. I believe that nothing should stop you from doing what you enjoy, including having a job in science or following your faith.

      Same/in agreement as Rose.

Providing that you take an objective view in your job, there’s no reason that you can’t have both :).

Not really – I don’t have much religious views so not much of an issue, although I do have colleagues who do great science and are religious – as the others have stated it’s a case of keeping them separate. Gregor Mendel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_Mendel) comes to mind – he was both a frair and a scientist, and there’s many more stories like his.

Trick is to be objective – any experience (religious or not) will colour your worldview.
