      So many things!
Watching bumblebees in the wild is a really important part of my research because it gives me a much better understanding of their behaviour. If i only ever wrote computer programs about bumblebees, then the bees in my programs might not be very realistic.
I have also discovered exciting things in my own time. A few years ago I was exploring some rock pools on the beach and I found a shell I had never seen before. I took a photograph and send it to the Marine Biological Association. They got back to me and said it was a really rare limpet. They new it existed but they didn’t have any photographs of it so mine was the first one! That was very exciting.
