I designed Turing test experiments, including the one for my PhD at Reading University https://www.reading.ac.uk/15/research/ResearchReviewonline/featuresnews/res-featureloebner.aspx )
after I had acted as a Turing test judge in the 2005 Chatterbox Challenge.

This challenge involved my talking with chatbots – computer programmes designed to engage in human like chat, and scoring them for knowledge, ability to remember, like-ability and more. I wrote a paper about it, ‘Chatterbox Challenge 2005: Geography of a Modern Eliza’, you can read it here:
