• Question: How long will the sun last for?

      Hello KKerge,

      I’m confident the sun will last past my lifetime! 🙂 However I’ll leave the scientific answer to my physicist colleague here 🙂

      Hi KKerge,

      It’s predicted that the Sun will run out of fuel in about 5 billion years, at which point it will ‘puff up’ into a red giant, before collapsing to a very dense ‘white dwarf’ star.
