      Firstly, we need to understand what it means for us humans ‘to feel’. When we’re designing robots, what is it that we want them to feel?

      Research in synthetic emotions covers laughter, pain and more. Through this we can understand why and when humans feel emotions and how these emotions help us to make better decisions, and to survive.       Right now we can build robots that give the illusion that they are happy or sad, or even angry.

      We need more people coming into this area and researching it, hope you will be interested in robot emotions beyond school.
