      hi 874putk39

great question. Speaking different languages can be very helpful in science (and other careers) because you sometimes need to visit different countries as part of your work.

When I was at school we were only taught one language and it didn’t start until high school so things are much better now. I can speak German (which I learned at school) and enough Italian to get by, which is very handy because I am the only Scottish person in my lab group, everyone else is Italian! ha ha

      Senga 🙂

Just English, but I’ve been trying to learn a bit of French and Spanish recently because I often have to go to other countries to work with different scientists.
