1- don’t be afraid to ask questions, if you have something you want to know the answer to just ask, no matter how small or silly you think it might be.
2- Let your imagination and creativity loose when thinking of ways to do something, you’ll be amazed at the great ideas you come up with.
3- you will learn more by doing something than by reading about it, try and get hands on experience of science things by going to open days or science centre events if you can. These are great fun and you can learn a lot.
Oh and from a practical point of view, as you move through secondary school it’s important to work hard at maths, English and the sciences. If you can also study a language then that’s a great skill to have too, as a scientist you might need to visit or work in different countries so speaking another language can be really helpful.
