Maths! Wait no, science. Can I only pick one?

Ok, this is actually a difficult question to answer.

Science is about observing and making predictions about the world so we can understand it better.

Some people think that maths is a sort of science, because you *can* use it as a tool to make predictions and theories about things in the world. (Like how there’s an equation describes gravity.) But some people say it’s not really a type of science because you don’t do any experiments in maths. (Is 2+2=4 really a fact about the world?)

So what do you think? Is maths a part of science? Or is it its own separate thing?
