      To write a computer program, you need to learn a programming language. This is a language that the computer understands, so that you can give it instructions, like ‘add this number to that number’, ‘print this out’ or ‘move that picture over here’.

      The programming language that I use the most in my research is called C++ and it can be tricky to learn, but there are easier ones. If you want to try out making code, a good place to start is to do some of the activities on this website https://code.org/learn
