If you mean “do I use other scientists’ research to help with my own?” then the answer is definitely yes and I think that would be true for everyone else also. As scientists the work that we do always depends on things that other people worked out beforehand because you can never do everything yourself.

There is a famous quotation by Isaac Newton (one of my scientific heroes) which goes something like: “If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants”. It means that even though he made great discoveries, he couldn’t have done it without other people’s research.

      Hi 768putk33

Yes! I use research every day! it can be looking at other peoples research to learn or figure out new ways to do something or it can be using experiments to research my own ideas.

I don’t just research in my job, people research things every day…it might be the best place to go on the weekend with the family, or what car to buy that will suit them best that is affordable.

What sort of research do you think you do? Maybe for a school project…or a new game to download?

      Senga 🙂
