• Question: do you try to help to explore space?

      Hi Liquidcrystals (very cool name by the way)

      Unfortunately, I don’t help to explore space I am a microbiologist which means I study tiny, microscopic creatures, the ones I mainly study are called bacteria. However, I do have a fascinating space fact about bacteria…

      Did you know that in as part of the Apollo 12 mission astronauts brought a camera from the surveyor 3 probe back to earth and they found that a type of bacteria called Streptococcus mitis was alive and growing on the camera which means that it had survived a space launch, space vacuum, super cold temperatures, no food, no water and no oxygen since it was launched in the surveyor probe 3 years earlier. I think that’s crazy!

      Sorry I don’t explore space but I hope my little fact was interesting.
