I wasn’t sure (and I still don’t know) what I wanted to do as a career. I decided a subject based degree was best for me (rather than committing to medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, for example) to give me loads of options when I finished Uni. I really enjoyed doing Chemistry and the problem-solving so have stayed working in science.
I think I have always been curious about everything around me. I often find myself asking “why is that like that?” and then proceeding to do my research to find out. That is pretty much the definition of being a scientist, studying things around you and figuring out why something works (or doesn’t)!
