• Question: what do u think will develop with enzymes in the future

      Good Question! Enzymes have a wide range of potential applications, but within the context of my work they’re mainly used for breaking down one type of plastic- PET (used for things like coke bottles!).

      I think we’ll find and develop enzymes for other polymers, and design new polymers that are easier for enzymes to breakdown.
