• Question: What advice would you offer for the jump between college and university?

      We don’t have sixth form colleges or anything like that in Scotland, so I went straight from school to university.
      The best advice I could give is to make sure you have your head screwed on straight. At school things are quite controlled – teachers make sure you do the work and you’re made to go to classes. At uni, you’re expected to show much more self-discipline and it’s on you to go places and find things out.
      Also, at uni there are far more distractions – not many schools have a pub on the grounds.
