While universities usually quote their offers in terms of A level grades, most will accept a range of different qualifications which are equal value but different. For instance the chemistry degree at my university will make an offer based on “A-level, T Level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas, or the International Baccalaureate.” Have a look on the websites for the universities and courses you are interested in and see what they say about alternative qualifications.

Yes – definitely. But do your research – look at the websites for the courses you’re interested in, and, if in doubt, contact the admissions people.

Yes- but as others have said, check the webpage for the courses/universities you’re interested in, or contact admissions!

Yes of course, and to answer even more widely. It does not matter where in the world you have done your secondary school/high school qualification. Each university (where ever on the planet) will have its own set of entry requirements for a particular qualification. As others said, if you are interested in going to a certain university/degree stream, look at their website and if you have questions contact their admissions team to see how to proceed.

I have been at quite a lot of different Unis and I’m pretty sure that all have accepted the IB diploma, and I know a few friends I studied with had done it. As the others have said, check with the admissions department for anywhere that you’re interested in

Absolutely! It all depends on what subjects you pick, specialise in and then want to do at university! I would suggest having a look at potential courses you are interested in and investigating entry requirements.
