Absolutely, but the best thing about doing something wrong is the opportunity to learn from it!

When researching new manufacturing methods I have to estimate where the best parameters will be for the materials. I would produce an experiment that pushes the limits in a safe way, to ensure that if something does go wrong then it does so in a safe way. One example would be working in too hot an environment. If it gets too hot the reaction can actually smoke or even set on fire! That’s why scientists have to be super careful and work within safe working limits.
