I always said I would be honest with these answers, and the answer is yes unfortunately. In my own experience, very rarely and never significantly injured. However, the job we do does come with risks with some of the processes and chemicals that we use. Fortunately, every scientist does undergo full training to minimise risk and the potential to be injured. All scientist are very conscious of the hazards in their job and we are getting better every day on preventing incidents. Generally, though, even the ones that do happen very occasionally are minor

Not seriously, only a couple of minor cuts or bumps. We try to avoid risky procedures and have safety procedures in place to reduce the risk of injury.

A few, but only very slightly. We’ve had more people hurt their backs lifting heavy boxes than have hurt by chemicals.
